Beginning therapy can be an overwhelming process and finding the right fit with a therapist is key to facilitating change. While I have many “tools in my toolbox” through years of experience and training, I believe the most important piece in the therapeutic relationship is connection and creating a safe space to allow vulnerability to be present. I utilize an attachment and trauma lens in my work, as I believe we learn how to function given the families, relationships and communities in which we grow up.
I have extensive experience working with pre-teens (ages 10-12), teenagers and adults in a variety of settings, including school mental health, outpatient mental health clinic, intensive outpatient and residential services. My areas of expertise include working with trauma, attachment, relationship issues, parenting support, anxiety and depression, self-harm and suicidal ideation.
My advanced training includes:
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Developmental Repair
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
