I’m a licensed psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Over time, my work has naturally shifted toward sitting with adults who are ready to make sense of what happened to them in childhood. There’s something incredibly powerful about that kind of work—when things that once felt confusing or overwhelming start to make more sense, and people begin to feel more grounded in themselves.
Many of the adults I work with live with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, difficulty with boundaries, shame, or a lingering sense of disconnection. Often, these patterns once helped us survive, but now feel exhausting or limiting. In our work together, we take the time to understand those patterns with compassion rather than judgment, while building new ways of relating that support safety, self-trust, and emotional regulation.
My methodology is trauma-informed and relational, with a strong focus on how the nervous system and body hold lived experience. I use approaches such as Anchored Relational Therapy (formerly AIR Network Therapy) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), both of which I’ve found incredibly effective in helping people move through pain that has felt stuck for a long time. I’m also trained in EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and I’m a certified Empowered Relief instructor for those living with chronic pain.
Before joining In Tandem Counseling, I worked in a variety of settings — including schools, homes, community programs, and outpatient clinics. Those experiences shaped the way I see people: with curiosity, respect, and an understanding that no two stories are the same. I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota and have been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker since 2013.
In session, I bring warmth, curiosity, deep respect, and hopefully some humor. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong,” but about making space for what has been carried alone for too long. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, more grounded in your life, and less alone in your experiences.
Wherever you are in your journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
