Jessica can support you in working towards your goals no matter what you bring to therapy. She brings a compassionate approach that creates space for you to explore the things you want to. Jessica also wants to help you live long and prosper (as the Vulcans say) and experience the ease of wellbeing.
Jessica strives to create a space where each individual, couple, and family can experience healing and wellbeing. Jessica brings a trauma lens and creates a nonjudgmental and collaborative environment where you feel seen and heard. Jessica sees you as more than your struggles and challenges.
Jessica also brings 13 years of experience working in state government at the Minnesota House of Representatives in a nonpartisan role. This means that Jessica has an understanding of the demands and experience of working in government, and an understanding of what the significant others and family members of those working in government experience. Whether you are in a “behind the scenes” role or whether you are an elected official, Jessica can help you navigate the challenges and stresses that come with the job.
Outside of her professional work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her son, being outdoors, and fulfilling a lifelong passion for learning. Playing in the sandbox, exploring nature, hiking, camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, and reading are some of her favorite activities. Jessica also fully embraces her geeky side and enjoys playing video games and watching Star Trek.
Jessica specializes in parts work and uses curiosity to help you explore and work towards the change you desire. Clients often describe this work as a way to feel seen, heard, and understood. Jessica is available for individual, couple, and family therapy.
Special areas of focus that Jessica can help with are trauma, dissociation, ADHD, substance use/addiction (harm reduction approach), and family and relationship challenges.
